I'll be uploading my latest KBM records in a day or 2, but just FYI Eurasian Bee-Eaters showed up in Meru NP on the 20th of this month.

Hi all,

Saw my first Yellow Wagtail (single adult male lutea, see attached photo) and Eurasian Bee-eaters (flock of 12 flying southward) of the season yesterday at the UON Field Station in Upper Kabete. The bee-eaters have been reported from several places by atlassers over the past couple of weeks. Also of interest were c.30-50 Chestnut Weavers that are acquiring breeding plumage (see photo) and building nests. It will be the first time I've seen them breed in the area if they end up doing so.

White-winged and Red-collared Widowbirds were in non-breeding plumage, though one adult male White-winged was in breeding plumage. Jackson's Widowbirds were absent. No Hinde's Babblers seen either. Red-rumped Swallows were present but no Lesser Stripeds. Small flocks of 100 or so Red-billed Quelea were scattered around the farm.
