Subject: Altitudinal migrants
Greetings birders
The Palearctic migrants may have left, but Nairobi is now hosting some altitudinal migrants. On Nature Kenya’s Wednesday morning birdwalk at the Racecourse/Ngong Road Forest on June 5, we saw a handsome Eastern Bronze-naped Pigeon feeding on Trema fruits.
Other highlights included Giant Kingfisher, Hartlaub’s Turaco in flight and Silvery-cheeked Hornbill.
Wishing you good birding, Fleur
