Subject: Storks in Nairobi National Park
Greetings birders
It was an overcast yet brilliant morning in Nairobi National Park today 10 February: the clouds silver, small wetlands dark blue with vivid green reeds, pale grasslands full of herbivores, and two handsome Kori Bustards.
The north end of Athi Basin dam was packed with birds - an estimated 500 White Storks, about 200 Marabou (and another 300 along the river), Black Stork, Yellow-billed Stork, spoonbill, herons, egrets, geese, stilts, plovers, sandpipers.
Wishing you good birding, Fleur
