Subject: Migrants in NNP

Hi all,

Today (while on the Nairobi National Park game count with Jagi Gakunju and Ann Karuga) we saw 12 Little Stints at the vulture bathing pools just above the Athi Basin (see photos attached). They were still in their breeding plumage, clearly indicating fresh arrivals from the north. Another Palearctic migrant was a Common Greenshank at the Athi Dam. Also a recent arrival (probably the same bird from Brian Finch's 5th Aug NNP report).

Good birding,
Sidney
