Dear All,

That would be an incredible record for this lowland species but the location is stated as Nakuru not Nairobi, where still a remarkably good find but considerably closer to the known range. There is an old record of this species in the Rift near Suswa, and of course they show up periodically at Baringo. We are still waiting for a confirmed record from Tsavo-Amboseli, with only an unverified report to date. There are now numerous reports from Arusha-Kilimanjaro area in TZ, as indicated by Neil, so perhaps such a record will be forthcoming fairly soon!

Good birding,

James
