Subject: Levant Sparrowhawks and Black-backed Cisticolas

Dear All,

Yesterday evening I found a small flock of Levant Sparrowhawks along the Oloololo Escarpment in the Mara Triangle. My first record of this species. They were moving north so be on the lookout. 

Also of note recently are the large numbers of Black-backed Cisticolas following the heavy January rains. I have recorded them throughout the Triangle and into the MMNR up to Ol Keju Rongai.
