I visited Nairobi National Park this last Sunday, the 17th, between 11am and 3 pm. Though my visit was not primarily for birding purposes, I did have two good sightings. The first was of 2 Wahlberg’s Eagles in the Hyaena Dam area flying fairly low overhead with a northerly drift. I was able to watch them for several minutes with a Yellow-billed Kite also in view. Perhaps surprisingly, this appears to be only the second record for the Park. The second was of a stunning male Northern Wheatear.
Cheers
