Dear Birders,
This coming Saturday, May 13th, is the annual Global Big Day, coordinated by the Ebird team at Cornell University, to see how many species can be recorded collectively by birders worldwide. Details on how to participate can be found here: http://ebird.org/ebird/globalbigday
If you have time to go birding on Saturday, I encourage you to participate. A group of us are trying to increase Kenya's standing in this year's event, and plan to cover Nairobi National Park and local forests, Aberdares, Thika, Nakuru, Baringo, Kisumu, Shimba Hills, Mombasa area. It would be great if others could join by covering other areas (Kakamega anyone?), so that we can do Kenya proud!
The Ebird app is easy to use and can be downloaded to your phone for free here:

If you are a BirdLasser user, why not submit lists to the Atlas and Ebird as well?
Thanks, and good birding!
