Do doves leave Nairobi at certain times? Maybe escaping dry months?

There is a true reduction of doves numbers where I've been birding lately all over the city. Red-eyed Doves were once a call you'd hear all day. These days not at all.

Only the Speckled Pigeon looks fine around human habitation. 

Of greatest reduction are the populations in forests and farms.  The doves there have become very scarce. And don't call as much. 

Has anyone else seen dove numbers disappear from their area?

Just out of curiosity.
