James BradleyNice find Sidney. Lemon Dove is primarily a dry season visitor to Nairobi. A handful of birds stay year round and may breed in the larger forest blocks (Karura, Ololua) but 90% of Nairobi records are Jan-Mar and Aug-Sep. The Arboretum is actually one of the more reliable spots in town. The map at this link gives an idea of citywide distribution:Best Wishes,

Bill Harvey recorded the Lemon Dove as ‘rare’ in the Nairobi Arboretum area in his Annotated Checklist of the Birds of Nairobi published by the British Council in Nairobi in October 1997.Best wishes,Graeme
