Greetings birders
Some highlights from the Nairobi area:
Eastern Olivaceous Warbler singing in my garden the last week of January, as
it did in 2014 and 2013. Still singing today 10 February 2016.
Nairobi National Park, 31 January
Ostrich, a pair with half-grown chicks
White Storks, about 20, and Will Knocker said he saw hundreds
Nesting White-backed Vultures (Critically Endangered)

Grey Wagtail
Swara Plains Acacia Lodge near Athi River, 6-7 February
Black Stork
Lesser Kestrel (2)
Secretary Bird (a pair)
Nesting White-backed Vultures (Critically Endangered)
Grey Crowned Crane (Endangered)
Kori Bustards (many)
Eurasian Roller
Eurasian Bee-eater
Isabelline (Red-tailed) Shrike
Eastern Olivaceous Warbler
Willow Warbler
Northern, Pied and Isabelline Wheatears
Common and Thrush Nightingales, both caught and ringed
Spotted Flycatcher
Ngong Road Forest Sanctuary at the Ngong Racecourse, 10 February
