Anyone with an idea of the
preferred breeding/nesting conditions for the Angola Swallow?
As a follow-up to the
observation that a large number Angola Swallows were nesting inside classrooms
in a school in the Lake Olborrosat Area (thus causing problems to the pupils),
some friends (Werner, Ndungu and others) are trying to explore the possibility of building an alternate
swallow nesting structure outside the classrooms and install windows to the
classrooms. However they want to be sure that the swallows will nest in this
structure, which would also serve as an education/awareness initiative for the
students. Any indications of how these swallows nest in the wild etc.
would be greatly appreciated.
