Hi Fred,

Sept-Oct covers many migrant species, but remember that others – warblers, nightingales, shrikes for example, don’t appear in Kenya (around Nairobi ) till November.

Hi all,

This is just to let you know that Spring Alive is an international project aimed at  encouraging people with interest in nature and the conservation of migratory birds and to get them to take action for birds and other wildlife as well as to participate in events organized by BirdLife Partners.

In Kenya , Nature Kenya is spearheading the Spring Alive project. We are requesting birders to participate. All you need to do is to register your first sightings of;
1.       White Stork
2.       Common Cuckoo
3.       Eurasian Bee-eater
4.       Barn Swallow.
5.       Common (Eurasian) Swift

By sending this information to: office@naturekenya.org, copied to  species@naturekenya.org.
You can also send a text message to 0701 028739, tweet@ Nature_Kenya or post on our Facebook page @Nature- Kenya .
When you see or hear the bird, all you need to do is remember the date, number (s) if possible and region where you saw it. The project runs between September and October annually.

With Regards,

Fred Barasa.
