Sorry it is not as simple as Shailesh is suggesting. You will need a Safari card, which can only be issued and topped up at a few gates, - for Tsavo West it is the Mtito Andei gate. The whole process is well described at http://www.kws.org/about/safaricard.html

We are a french couple of birdwatcher and we come back East Africa next august. Our car (camper van) is right now stored in Arusha and we would begin our Kenyan trip through Tsavo West NP so we'll arrive from Taveta (tanzania). My question is about how and where pay Park entry? How could we do?
I emailed twice 'tsavowestnp@kws.go.ke' but they don't seem understand my inquiry.... no answer!
Does somebody has an idea?
