Yesterday was interesting in that I was birdwatching the garden along Dagoretti Road. After observing 6 Willow Warblers, including 1 that was singing well; 1 Common Buzzard and a party of Eurasian Bee-eaters, I was amazed to have an Icterine Warbler show itself in the Acacia Abyssinica tree not more than 10 metres from where I was standing and giving me plenty of opportunity to get an excellent view.
I think this species is rare for our area.
