Subject: Fw: Dr. Leela Hazzah selected as top 10 2014 CNN hero of the year

Dear all,
I am forwarding an email from Nature Kenya indicating that Dr. Leela Hazzah of Lions Guardians has been selected as a top 10 CNN Hero of the Year and she is therefore nominated for the CNN Hero of Year Award.  She needs our votes each and every day before Nov 16.

Leela and her team have done amazing work conserving lions in East Africa.  Of course there is a very strong link between the conservation of lions and birds.  Anytime a lion is poisoned, tens if not hundreds of birds of prey are poisoned too, including eagles, bateleurs and vultures.

Leela is the only nominee tackling an environmental issue.  Let's help bring conservation to the fore and vote for Leela.

Best, Darcy

Dear esteem NK member,
I write this mail hoping that you can help us spread the word about the amazing news we just received.

Dr. Leela Hazzah the Executive Director of Lion Guardians in East Africa has been selected as one of the Top 10 2014 CNN Heroes for her exemplary work of conserving lions throughout East Africa which has helped the lion population grow.

Lion Guardians being the only environmental organization to be recognized in the Top 10 gives us an ideal chance to dramatically elevate knowledge and awareness of wildlife conservation to a broad and global audience,  to do that effectively, we need your help to see Leela garner as many votes as possible and make her the “CNN Hero of the Year”.
Put lion conservation on the TOP of everybody’s list! Vote for Leela Hazzah

Log on to CNNHeroes.com and choose Leela Hazzah

A vote for Leela is a vote for Lion Guardians and lion conservation.
Vote today and every day until November 16th

With best wishes as you vote,
