Hi birders, what is happening here Nature Kenya Team at Tana delta jointly with the Tana delta conservation network  had two days morning bird walks during three day Organizational Capacity building and strategic planning workshop. the group was divide into three, forming transect.
1.YWCA Junction to Power station
2.YWCA Minijila junction
3.YWCA Manyatta
The exercise began at 0615am to 0730am on days 02/ 09 /2014 to 03/ 09/ 2014. it has been an existing mornings where members of the group had opportunity of learning Birds and how to fill National bird population monitoring scheme Field recording sheet.
Each day at least 20 species of birds were listed by groups around at this areas. Being a learning section on how to do common bird monitoring at their relative groups at site level.
we hope to come up with days for morning bird walks at different sites to encourage  birds conservation. we need support for unused binoculars to share with member of community during planned activity.
