Subject: The Kenya reptile atlas

Dear Friends and Herpetological Colleagues,

Please forgive this mass mailing, I don’t usually do it (and I apologise if you receive it twice!), but myself and the team from the NMK would like to publicise the Kenya reptile atlas.  We were sponsored by the Rufford Foundation and received support from the National Museums of Kenya.  I attach an article about the atlas, published in SWARA, the magazine of the East African Wildlife Society, the July-September 2014 issue.  Please feel free to use the atlas, it is available at  www.kenyareptileatlas.com   ,  you go there and click ‘downloads’.  It is free for all, please spread the word!  It isn’t complete yet, but the elapids, vipers and chameleons are there, and shortly we shall put up updated Kenya checklists and also the burrowing snakes.  The rest follows gradually, along with regular updates.  We sincerely hope it is useful!

Thank you all.  Please enjoy,

With kind regards and best wishes,

Stephen Spawls, Patrick Malonza, Beryl Bwong, Vincent Muchai and Victor Wasonga
