They surely can move many kms in this plumage !!!! but I've no idea at all how far they can / do move, no ringing records that I'm aware of, let me ask the Kenyans if they have any recoveries / controls.

very difficult birds to confirm breeding but I did once catch a Lesser Honeyguide that was persistently hanging around an active barbet nest hole and I squeezed an egg from her .. gently of course !!
