The attached articles are interesting.
This cannot be good for bird et al. conservation in the
Machakos and Athi River areas...and, I suspect, also not good for the rhinos and
elephants of eastern Africa.
I note that the Chinese Premier will be in Nairobi this month
(May). I wonder if he will meet with those interested in stopping the
illegal trade in China of elephant ivory, rhino horn, gorillas,
chimps, grey parrots, etc.
