Also on the same trip just by the bridge of the same river i came across a Sparrow hawk
and i believe its a Levant sparrowhawk,let me hear your views from the attached pic.

Nice photo Samuel. It looks like an immature bird. As far as I know although Pel’s Fishing Owls are often seen in Meru there is no breeding record. The only breeding record for the Pel’s Fishing Owl is from the Masai Mara near Governors’ Camp.
