Thanks for that.  The bill seemed to be so much bigger and wider than the White faced Whistling ducks of which there are many up there.  I didn't see it but must look at them again more closely.  They do indeed breed there.
 
Re: Ethiopian Swallows.  Have so far only managed to get only one firmly in the binos and it defintiely had a pale rufous throat.  Will keep looking
