"In order to improve the communication among Kenyan birders and others who are interested in Kenya birds, the Bird Committee of Nature Kenya (the East African Natural History Society), established this mail list group that will serve as a tool for informing members on interesting bird sightings and observations of unusual and rare birds, as well as publicizing news about birding activities to be held in the country.

This list is a membership-restricted list, since we would like to avoid from subscribing members that might damage the common interest of other list members (like bird collectors, hunters...) and members that might send messages that are not in agreement with the scope of the list.

Records that will appear in this list will be filtrated and then transfer to the Records Sub-Committee of the East African Natural History Society Bird Committee."
