Subject: Lesser jacana

Sorry this is a little dated, but the more posts I read about trips to NNP the more I realise it's a bird not seen very often... When I was home in June this year we spent an afternoon in NNP and we were lucky enough to watch a lesser jacana on one of the lilly ponds in the forest up near the main gate. 

Is this a rare sighting for the area?
