Dear all,
Thanks to Colin Jackson for the recent prompt about contributing
to Scopus, the scientific
journal of the Bird Committee of the East
Africa Natural History Society. For those
who are not aware, Scopus has been published since 1977 and is a tremendous
resource of the ornithology of eastern Africa.
Our publications are used to compile and update references such as the
Handbook of the Birds of the World. We encourage your support of Scopus through
written contributions and purchase of the journal. Please remember that many of you are
observing interesting records of bird behaviour, changes in distribution, or have
records of declines or the absence of once common birds. We encourage you to write up and submit these
records. Please see our newly updated website www.naturekenya.org/content/scopus
for more details on how you can support Scopus.
Sincerely,
Darcy
