Hi all

just to give you a feel for the distribution and seasonality of this bird in Tanzania.

note that in some well watched sites such as Mikumi, Ruaha and Tarangire NP there are records for all months.
but this does not necessarily indicate that individual birds are resident in these sites as different populations may be involved.

always a treat to see one.

and to catch them in headlights.

Hi Willy,
No there are no previous records from NNP, historically a nest was
found on Stony Athi.
This is such a very rare bird in Kenya, but when they should turn up
as southern visitors. Is it still there and can you just give a brief
outline how it differed from a Crowned Plover.
Very best for now
Brian
