James Mutua from Haller Park reported Madagascar Pond Heron sightings at the Hippo Pond:

April 22nd Haller Park 2 birds
April 28th Haller Park 1 bird 

We are now on the look out for them at Nguuni NS where we had seen the first one last year in May & the year before in July.

On a recent visit to visit Lakes Baringo and Bogoria, on Wednesday 17th  April, in a puddle beside the road, half way down Lake Bogoria, we spotted a Mad Pond Heron !

 

Both Lakes are incredibly high and still rising.
