Subject: Meru NP

Dear all,

We recently spent a day plus half a morning in Meru NP surveying raptors.  Highlights included two swallow-tailed kites, 52 black-shouldered kites, 25 harriers (montagus, pallid and eurasian marsh), a  grasshopper buzzard and 8 steppe eagles.  In total 179 birds of prey.  It was a fantastic trip.  Read more about it at http://blogs.peregrinefund.org/article/776

Cheers, Darcy
