Hi Tabitha,

You could consider getting the rescued Scops Owl to Sarah Higgins, who owns and runs The Little Owl Sanctuary on her shamba on the South Lake Road, Naivasha.

She can be contacted on 0723 786007, and has a lot of experience and success in rehabilitating owls and other wildlife.

Best of luck,

Philip.

Dear Tabitha

Poor little owl.  Wonder what happened to it?  Do you think it was dropped by a bird of prey? So glad you rescued it.  Let us know how it does.

during todays wednesday dirdwalk/counts,  i came across this young owl, picked it from one of the ponds. we all first thought it was spotted eagle owl, but the rapture group confirmed it as scops owl.
sheena and I managed to give him a temporary home(carton box), till we took it to the museum and later on taken by Zoe to the ICU. So far, it is doing good and i hope all goes well. attached are photos of the owl after rescue.

enjoy your birding
