i visit mwea rice scheme 9 and 10 oct,12 avifaunal diversity was quite good. hundreds of waders (ruff,wood sandpiper,mash sandpiper, common sandpiper,kitlitz plover,ringed plover three banded plover)blcksmith plover, spur winged plover,long-toed plover, Eurasian mash harrier,Eurasian bee eaters feeding, Fulvous Whistling Duck,White-faced Whistling Duck,Purple Swamphen, Common Moorhen,black crake,purple heron, black-headed heron, grey heron, black-crowned night heron, cattle egret, yellow billed egret, great white egret, little egret, african spoon bill stork, yellow billed stork, yellow billed ducks, egyptian geese, malachite kingfisher, pied kingfisher, grey headed kingfisher, great painted snipe, Hottentot teal, sacred ibis, hadada ibis, glossy ibis, hamerkop, great sparrow hawk,pied crow, black kite, rattling cisticola, winding cisticola, white winged widowbird, baglafecht weaver, red billed quilea, hinde's babbler, grey headed sparrow,yellow bishop, african jacana, Black-winged Pratincole,african pied wagtail, yellow wagtail, barn swallow, plain martin, rock martin, banded martin, lesser striped swallow.....
