Subject: First European bee-eaters for Tanga

About 10 days ago I saw the first European Bee-eaters pass through Thumamah (near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) but, perhaps, I did not see the first of them.

On another subject, Mammals of Africa is expected to be published in February.

Just for a note: I recorded a small flock of Euro bee-eaters over Lake Chala land yesterday... also Verreaux's Eagle, Verreaux's Eagle-Owl and Southern White-faced Owl, but NO Pel's Fishing Owl - and that's what I was looking for!! Maybe next time...

More details and records will come with my monthly list...
