Serinus gularis Streaky-headed Seedeater
K 1973: River Suam at Nakijit: few 29 Jul.
U 1966: Moroto: common end Sep.
Serinus reichardi Reichard’s Seedeater
K 1971: Muhoroni: few 2 Aug.
Some of these may have been netted for ringing, but I haven't got access to my ringing data at present.
Not sure if this is at all helpful.

A very interesting discussion.
It would be nice to get other people thoughts on that, specifically those
who live and work in NW Kenya...

Subject: Seedeaters
Dear Itai; Some time ago you very kindly posted on kenyabirdnet a
note concerning the Tropical Boubou Shrike in Kenya. I'm not sure what (if
any) response came from that, but with Scopus floundering and appearing very
intermittently, this is probably the only way to get word out about certain
species / groups.
A similar intricate situation surrounds two seedeaters in northwest Kenya,
and as such I was wondering whether you could put the attached note on
kenyabirdsnet . It might hopefully arouse some interest.
With thanks and best wishes
Don Turner
