help with bird names

Hey Colin!

A friend of mine is giving a talk at COP 17 on indigenous knowledge and weather, and is trying to get the following birds id'd - all she has is common names in indigenous language:

Ilumi, Maolwe, Kaanga maia and Gema cocks (weavers) - they all appear to be Kenyan birds but I can't find out what they are with google! Any ideas?
