An excellent record, so good to have a reliable date for migrating birds returning from "wintering" along the Kenyan coast to breeding in SE TZ.

VERY few records of returning birds stopping en route. This might be the first confirmed DAY DATE. It is a touch earlier than I would expect.

How's bird faring on its wintering grounds ? no data from Tanzania since the millenium but this is due to lack of observer effort more than anything else.
No ringing effort since the mid 90s !!!

These birds will begin singing soon after arrival so NOWs the time to visit the Noto and Chitoa.

If anyone has any information on the state of the mvule plantation on the Rondo Plateau we would like to hear from them. We hope it IS NOT being logged.
