Gulls breeding on L Naivasha Greetings Birders

Lake Naivasha was brimming with birds on July 30. Highlights included Grey-headed Gulls with fat chicks and flying juveniles, Whiskered Terns following our boat, dozens of Great Cormorants with shivering throat pouches, and scores of Great White Pelicans fishing together while a cloud of gulls screamed over them in a feeding frenzy.

Looking forward to hearing the results of the July waterbird count on Naivasha.
