On the occasion of the World Environment Day 2011, Alliance Française de Nairobi will be presenting a photographic exhibition on ‘The Tana River Delta: a wetland in the balance’, from 8^th to 30^th June 2011. The Tana Delta is one of Kenya’s most important wetland systems. The exhibition has been produced by a multidisciplinary French-Kenyan research team of scientists from the French Institute of Research for Development (IRD, UMR PALOC) and the KENWEB (Kenyan Wetlands Biodiversity Research Team), working together in the Tana Delta.This photographic exhibition will present the diversity and the richness of the natural and cultural heritage of the Tana Delta, the issues related to water and land and the work of the research team. It will be accompanied by informative text in English and French and by a 25 minutes documentary.

A l’occasion de la Journée Mondiale de l’Environnement 2011, l’Alliance Française de Nairobi présente une exposition photographique ’The Tana River Delta: a wetland in the balance’ du 8 au 30 juin 2011. Le delta du Tana est l’une des plus importantes zones humides du Kenya. L’exposition a été préparée par une équipe pluridisciplinaire franco-kenyanne de chercheurs de l’IRD (UMR PALOC) et de la Jeune Equipe Associée KENWEB (Kenyan Wetlands Biodiversity Research Team), travaillant dans le delta du Tana. Cette exposition présente la diversité et la richesse des patrimoines naturels et culturels du delta du Tana, les problématiques de la gestion de ses eaux et de son territoire ainsi que le travail de l’équipe de recherche. Elle est accompagnée d’un texte informatif en anglais et en français et d’un documentaire de 25 minutes.
