Anyone who is interested in subscribing to Scopus should send an email to Philis at
membershipservices@naturekenya.org. Philis will then get your details (address, email, etc) and put it into the Scopus database and she will send you instructions on how to pay via Mpesa. Unfortunately, cheques don't work well because of the bank charges for clearing an international
cheque are higher than the cost of subscribing. Nature Kenya can also process credit card payments, but you need to discuss this with Philis first. Mpesa is the cheapest and easiest option.
We've also had past problems with subscribers not receiving their issues. While we can't deal with theft/loss at the post office, we've found that keeping in contact via email with subscribers has eliminated most of the problems. Before an issue is posted I send an email to everyone in the database to alert them and if there's any issues that haven't been received then you contact me or Philis and another issue will be posted.
We're trying our best to sort out the problems of payment and posting Scopus. If you continue to have problems please let myself or Philis know so we can assist you.
Cheers, Darcy
