Subject: European White Storks (Naivasha) and other sightings (Nyahururu)

Dear birders:

Yesterday, 10th October, 2010, whilst, enroute from Nyahururu via Gilgil, there were c.100 Eurasian White Storks feeding in-between the lucern fields, Delemere's Farm, Naivasha.

During the weekend 9-10 October, at the Uaso Narok Forest station, Nyahururu, the forest birds were out in their fullest. Perhaps, this was due to the on-going rains. The highlights included a very vocal  and later sighted adult male African Emerald Cuckoo, White-browed Crombec, Grey Cuckoo-Shrike, Rufous-breasted Sparrow-hawk, Hartlaub's Turaco, Red-fronted Parrot c. 12, and many more. A fuller lists of the birds will be posted on-line!

Happy birding always,
