Greetings birders
Nature Kenya's Sunday Birdwatch spent a wonderful day at Gatamaiyu Forest on September 19, despite overcast skies that made finding birds in the treetops a challenge. We walked a trail I had not been on before, past the water purification plant.
Bird highlights included pairs of Mountain Buzzards and Moustached Green Tinkerbirds; and good views of Brown-chested Alethe and African Hill Babbler, so similar in colouring and yet different in habits.
