Patrick and all

when one considers just how few people we have out there looking at birds these most likely represent a significant number of over-summering swallows.

In my travels in the last few weeks I have seen ones and twos of Barn Swallow from Katesh, Hanang District up to Dareda Kati, Babati District. I was wondering if some were remaining behind in other parts fo TZ?

an adult male (long tail streamers) Barn Swallow flying south along the beach at Jangwani on the 16th June was quite a surprise.

odd birds do stay around (not many records though) but these very rarely look like fresh adult males.

can't get these 2,500 non returning White Storks out of my mind. hope we are not beginning to witness any serious changes.
