It's that time of year again when we can expect to
find Madagascar Pond Herons arriving on the mainland.
It would be good to know if they return to
favourite haunts so please check the sites you are familiar with. Good quality
negative data is important.
Grateful all you Selous and Kilombero based folk
take special care in searching for and identifying these birds. These are
probably the most important wintering sites for this globally threatened
species.
It would be very good to hear from our friends
in Madagascar on their thoughts on this past breeding season.
