Patrick and All,
Interesting observation, Ive never seen this.  I was wondering the other day what the Black Kite's native 'pre-human' habitat would have been.  I wonder if anyone on this list has any idea.  I suppose that the species could have been a very restricted species (in terms of habitat) that only really blossomed after finding such a sloppy species as our own to follow around.  Wouldn't it be interesting to know if Black Kites bones have ever been excavated from any archeological digs like in a nubian dump or such?  Anyway, just a thought and a wonder.

Dear all,

More than 100 Black Kites (Milvus migrans) were spotted resting on the way to Lake Magadi about 20 Km after Kiserian.

Best regards,

Patrick
