Three weeks ago, during our weekely Friday morning birdwalks at ICIPE Complex, Kasarani, we also sighted a Pink-backed pelican - one individual soaring above us. Since then we have not sighted it again so probably on transit (???)

An interesting sight in our Mwitu Estate garden in Karen at about 6.45 p.m.the other evening... 10 Great White Pelicans landed in a tall eucalyptus tree.
Three were still there the following morning.
Is this unusual .
