Subject: A Gallery of East African Birds
Dear all,
I would like to invite you to attend the
launch of A Gallery of East African Birds, a new
book by John Dawson. Eminent artists were
commissioned to produce over 50 full-page plates for this large-format book,
which celebrates, in pictures and in words, a selection of the wonderful
birdlife of East Africa. Jonathan Scott has written the foreword.
In addition to the book the original
paintings will be on display and for sale. The opening will be 6.30 to 9.30 pm,
Thursday 12 November, New Exhibition Hall, Village Market. There will be a welcoming glass of wine and a selection of bitings, and David Western is the guest speaker. The show will
continue for the period 13-21 November, if you can't make the opening.
