Subject: drought effect

Hi to all,

its good to be back here though just for a short while.

it seems that the very dry condition pushs species into their limits,
on Friday the 14th (afternoon) i had the first ever Lanner flying over the house in Lavington (two birds one young and one adult). we had Peregrines in the past but never Lanners.

on Sunday noon time, while driving between Nanyuki and Mt. Kenya, a Red-winged Lark was feeding on the ground and seemed very local. i have never had this species so far south on this side of the mountain!

all the best,
Itai

I'd rather go birding...
