Subject: INTERESTING SIGHTINGS
On a visit last Sunday to the Lake edge on
Hopcraft's Loldia farm Naivasha, a Ross's Turaco
was positively identified by several of us.This had been reported earlier to me
but thought to be inaccurate!
Several Fish Eagle pairs were present including one
perched on the back of a hippo, later joined by his mate and we witnessed an
attack on a passing pelican who was forced to disgorge his just caught
fish!
Also a recent visit to Nairobi Park over 5O Red
Backed Shrikes were seen as well as more than lO Lesser Grey Shrikes, one
Whinchat, two Whitethroats and several Spotted Flycatchers.
Good Birding !
Best wishes to all
Karen Plumbe
