Subject: Casual birding in Nairobi.
Dear birders:
On Sunday, 28 October, 2007 at the Splash Water World, Nairobi, I was a single Isabelline Wheatear Oenanthe isabellina and a small flock of +10 Grey-headed Silverbill Lonchura griseicapilla.
While, on the morning of 29th October 2007, a fly-past of a large flock +/-2000 small birds (my guess was Quelea Spp.), over the Ngong Road Forest Sanctuary, Nairobi, headed towards the south-west direction.
Out of interest, does anyone within the group, know where and when the Quelea Spp. breed?
Great birding commences from your own back yard!
Regards,
James Kuria Ndung'u
