Subject: Western Kenya Trip.

Hello Birders,
   
  Well, i just did a 16 days birding tour of Western Kenya with Ben Mugambi and 2 birders from South Africa. This time i had a chance to visit new areas which are good for birdwatching like Mt.Elgon N.P, Ruma N.P, around L.Victoria and Mbasa Islands. Mbasa Islands are located on East of Mfangano Island and South of Rusinga Island. On this Islands, bird species like Long-tailed / Great Cormorants, Sacred Ibises and Little Egrets are breeding. You can go on this Islands from Mbita by boat. On this trip, we had both Afrotopical and Palaearctic migrants seening.
   
  Here are some of the bird species, we saw during this trip.
   
  1.Little Rock Thrush.
  2.Yellow-billed Shrikes.
  3.White-crested Turaco.
  4.Bronze-tailed Starling.
  5.Heuglin's Masked Weavers.
  6.Hartlaub's Marsh Widowbirds.
  7.Crested Guineafowls.
  8.Western Banded Snake-eagle.
  9.Grey Parrots.
  10.Mackinnon's Fiscal.
  11.White-spotted Flufftails.
  12.Blue-headed Bee-eaters.
  13.Turner's Eremomelas.
  14.Red-bellied Paradise Flycatcher.
  15.Northern Brown-throated Weavers.
  16.Blue Swallows.
