Subject: Migrants and crow's nest
Greetings birders
The hillside with seasonal wetlands between the Carnivore Restaurant and
Nairobi National Park is a desolate moonscape at the moment because of the
drought. Nevertheless, highlights from a 45-minute stroll on 28 January 2006
include:
Common Rock Thrush
Pied and Northern Wheatear
Willow Warbler
A pair of Southern Black Flycatcher
And a crow's nest on the cell phone tower at the Carnivore!
Wishing you good birding, Fleur
