Greeting all
Honeyguides seen in the past week on some great outings with Nature Kenya:
Scaly-throated Honeyguide, chased by White-headed Barbet, end of Loresho
Road near entrance to Kabete Campus of University of Nairobi, 14 April 2004,
Wednesday Morning Birdwalk.
Pallid Honeyguide, seen at close range in enormous fig tree at entrance to
lava caves, Mount Suswa, 17 April 2004, Nature Kenya Bat-viewing Outing.
Greater Honeyguide (singing male) and Wahlberg's Honeybird, in riverine
woodland and thicket near KARI Kathumani, about 9 km southeast of Machakos,
Nature Kenya Sunday Birdwatch.
(And Eastern Honeybird singing in flight at Upper Hill, Nairobi, 19 April
2004.)
Also, two Kori Bustards on grassland north of Mount Suswa (17.04)
And a pair of Red-throated Tits at KARI Kathumani (18.04).
